Boy does that look good! To be honest the one thing I've never seen before are the mountain dew on it. Whosever idea that was that seems like a great idea. I better go try this out especially with the mountain dew as an additive to see if it adds lots of good flavor to the taste. Thanks for the post.

Agreed Alison that does look good, especially with the mountain dew. When you try it out let me know how it tastes, I may go try it out also! Thank you for providing us this great recipee. I was just wondering could we replace the mountain dew with another soday and have it still taste good?

I have made this many times and I use Sprite, a friend has told me she uses cherry coke, these are the best and always a hit when I take them anywhere, watch out cause you just want to eat them all........Smile

I agree - this recipe sure does look pretty impressive. I think I'll give it a go, especially at Christmas time - I reckon it would make a jolly nice treat when all the relo's (relatives) turn up for their yearly feast. Reckon they'd be pretty good cold as well, with a big dollop of icecream on top to help keep us all cool and relaxed in the blazing sun!! Thank you! PS: I noticed there's a large quantity of sugar in this recipe, what with the Mountain Dew included, which contains bucketloads of sugar on it's own - while sugar is nice stuff, it does wreak havoc on one's physiology and leads to a host of horrible diseases if not eaten in moderation. I might see if I can substitute some of the sugar with Xylitol or coconut blossom sugar, which are two great alternatives to regular sugar and taste just as good. There's many other alternatives to sugar as well, if you trawl the internet for ideas - and then there's just plain old reducing the amount you might use in a given recipe ;-) I sure do hope someone invents a healthy alternative to sugar sometime soon - life's too short to eat bland foods!!
